Samford vs. Wofford (Noon, ESPN+) … It’s never a good idea to overlook a team, even though Wofford is 0-5 and averaging a touchdown per game. The Bulldogs come in with a 4-1 record.

Birmingham-Southern at Trinity (1 p.m) … Trinity is the 5th ranked team in the country and have played just one close game. The Tigers allow 80 yards rushing per game while the Panthers run for 202 yards per game.

Grambling State at Alabama A&M (1 p.m.) … Former Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson is learning that turning around the traditionally proud Grambling program is not a one-year project. Alabama A&M finally gets the feeling of entering the next game after a victory.

Miles College at Benedict (1 p.m.) … Unbeaten Benedict allowed 47 points in the first five games. Miles College scored 57 points in the first five games with 34 of that coming in the team’s lone victory.

Thomas More University at Faulkner (1:30 p.m.) … Faulkner got the offense moving last week. Can the Eagles maintain that this week?

Jackson State at Alabama State (2 p.m., ESPNU) … Coach Prime and his powerhouse team dance into Montgomery this weekend. Can the Hornets find a way to pull off the upset?

Middle Tennessee at UAB (2:30 p.m., Stadium) ... Both are coming off tough losses. One has a lot more to clean up than the other.

Auburn at Georgia (2:30 p.m., CBS) … The Bulldogs looked human the past two weeks. Win this one, and the fans may actually warm up to Bryan Harsin. Do you believe in miracles?

UNA at Kennesaw State (5 p.m.) … The Lions had an extra week to prepare for the Kennesaw State option attack. Will it show?

West Alabama at Valdosta State (6 p.m.) … Valdosta State entered last week as the 13th-ranked team in the country. The Blazers will drop down in the ranking, or perhaps out of the rankings, after a 70-31 loss to 25th ranked Delta State.

Southern Miss at Troy (6 p.m., ESPN+) … Trojans return home after an impressive win at Western Kentucky. Will Hall’s Southern Miss team is 2-2 with an impressive win at Tulane.

Morehouse vs. Tuskegee at Legion Field (7 p.m.) … The 86th renewal of the Morehouse-Tuskegee Classic comes to Birmingham.

Texas A&M at Alabama (7 p.m., CBS) … Forget the game; I suggest getting there early to see if Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher visit at midfield before the game, and be sure to stay late to see what the postgame handshake looks like.

Bye: Huntingdon, Jacksonville State, South Alabama

*-All games are Saturday
