Alabama A&M at Mississippi Valley State (Thursday, 6:30 p.m., ESPNU) …  Obviously, getting past a Magic City Classic loss is difficult. But it’s a quick turnaround for the Bulldogs as they face the winless Delta Devils.

Huntingdon at N.C. Wesleyan (1l a.m.) … N.C. Wesleyan has one touchdown pass in eight games. Huntingdon has 21 touchdown passes in eight games.

Birmingham Southern vs. Centre College (1 p.m.) … Turnovers happen when Centre College is on the field. The Colonels gave up 12 interceptions and five fumbles. The Colonels took away 13 interceptions and six fumbles.

Miles College at Tuskegee (1 p.m.) … Homecoming for the Golden Tigers is also a time for Tuskegee head coach Reginald Ruffin to welcome his former team to campus. It’s also the regular season finale for both teams. Tuskegee is headed to the SIAC championship game. 

Faulkner at Bethel University (1:30 p.m.) …. No. 6 ranked Bethel is coming off a win at No. 3 Lindsey Wilson. Look for the Wildcats to take a leap upward in this week’s rankings.

Mississippi College at West Alabama (2 p.m.) … The Tigers defense will be challenged against a team that averages 341 rushing yards per game.

VMI at Samford (2 p.m., ESPN+) … Bulldogs return home as the first-place team in the Southern Conference. Samford head coach Chris Hatcher will make sure his team doesn’t look past the 1-9 Keydets with huge games against Chattanooga and Mercer on the horizon.

UTSA at UAB (2:30 p.m., Stadium) … At one point, this appeared it could be a critical game in the Conference USA standings. It didn’t turn out that way.

South Alabama at Georgia Southern (3 p.m., ESPN+) … Georgia Southern is 3-0 at home and 2-3 on the road. South Alabama is 3-1 on the road with the lone loss coming to UCLA at the Rose Bowl. The Jaguars also are playing to stay alive in race for Sun Belt Championship game.  

Austin Peay at UNA (4 p.m., ESPN+) … The Lions are struggling to win but it’s been fun to watch his offensive teammates clear a path for ShunDerrick Powell to put his name in the rushing record book at UNA.

Alabama State at Bethune-Cookman (4 p.m.) … With the Magic City Classic trophy back in Montgomery for the first time since 2017, it’s time to move forward for the Hornets. Bethune-Cookman blew an 18-point third-quarter lead in a 58-48 loss to Prairie View A&M on Saturday.

Alabama at LSU (ESPN, 6 p.m.) … SEC West supremacy is at stake. Did you expect to hear that sentence after LSU lost its opener to Florida State?

Auburn at Mississippi State (6:30 p.m., ESPN2) … The Bulldogs can reach bowl eligibility with a win. Auburn can reach bowl eligibility by winning three of the last four. Chances are good that only one of those two things will become reality.
