Guy Fieri's Chicken Guy! is opening Thursday in Gardendale.
The restaurant will be inside the Walmart Supercenter. It is the first Fieri location in Alabama.
Fieri and renowned restaurateur Robert Earl opened the first Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida, but the franchise has since expanded to 19 locations nationwide.
The restaurant offers crunchy chicken fingers prepared specially with pickle brine and fresh lemon juice brine, buttermilk and herbs. Chicken Guy! is also known for being "the boss of sauce" with several sauce selections.
A ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration will be held at the new Gardendale location at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
