Former State Rep. Joe Faust (R-Fairhope) will be honored in a road-naming ceremony this week.
A portion of Alabama State Route 181, from State Route 104 to Baldwin County Road 32, will be designated the Representative Joe Faust Highway.
The county will show appreciation for his service as a representative from 2002 to 2022.
“Representative Faust helped make Baldwin County and our great state of Alabama better for thousands of people,” said State Rep. Jennifer Fidler (R-Silverhill). “We are proud that we are able to honor him and his dedication to our county in this manner.”
During his time in Montgomery, Faust helped expand Highway 181 to include the route formerly known as County Road 27.
An official road naming ceremony will take place Friday at the Baldwin County Commission Chambers in Fairhope, beginning at 11 a.m.
