The body of an unknown man will undergo an official autopsy to determine when and how he died after investigators found him dead in a Foley apartment.
Officers responded to Alison Pointe Apartments on Monday morning for a welfare check. They discovered the body of the deceased man in the apartment of 54-year-old Valerie Bonner.
Police said it appeared the man had been deceased for an extended period of time.
Bonner was charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
While foul play is not suspected in the death, the Baldwin County District Attorney’s office will gather more information.
