A former employee of Trinity United Methodist Church's Child Development Center has been booked into the Madison County Jail and charged with sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old.
According to jail records, the suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Cameron K. White.
On Friday, the center released a statement addressing the crime that allegedly took place on campus.
"On January 21, 2026, we learned of an incident at our Child Development Center involving inappropriate behavior by one of our employees in accordance with our safe sanctuaries policy and state requirements, the Alabama Department of Human Resources was contacted immediately," the center stated.
"We have been in full cooperation with DHR and the Huntsville Police Department. The employee in question was terminated yesterday and arrested this morning, the safety of children is sacred in our utmost priority at Trinity we are committed to walking alongside authorities and impacted families through the investigation and healing process," the center added.
White is currently being held without bond.
