The two women accused of hitting children at a Daleville daycare will spend five years in prison.
Kailey Gilley and Magan Koker were sentenced Thursday to 20 years split with five to serve, followed by 36 months probation, for child abuse.
The two former employees of the Happy Hearts Christian Academy Daycare were caught on camera hitting children. The footage was discovered after parents reported bruising on their children.
Prosecutors said multiple children were abused but that one in particular suffered the brunt of the abuse.
The two were arrested in September 2024 and pleaded guilty in October.
They will not be eligible for parole.
