A former Missile Defense Agency employee has pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents after transferring top-secret materials from an MDA facility in Huntsville to their personal residence and vehicle.
Ewa Maria Ciszak, 64, of Huntsville, was arrested and charged by authorities in late June. She now faces five years in prison, with the possibility of supervised release for three years. Ciszak will also be responsible for up to $250,000 in combined fines.
Before the arrest, Ciszak held a high-ranking security clearance, which granted access to materials related to national defense.
Ciszak's sentencing is set for June 8.
