Former State Rep. Howard Sanderford (R-Huntsville) passed away on Wednesday evening at the age of 90.
Majority Leader Scott Stadthagen (R-Hartselle) said in a statement on Thursday, “Rep. Howard Sanderford was a proud patriot, a committed conservative, and a devoted legislator who ably served his state and community for more than three decades prior to his retirement.”
“Those of us who worked alongside him in the committee rooms and chambers of the Alabama State House were fortunate to witness the example of hard work and selfless service that he set, and every member of the House Republican Caucus joins me in sending prayers of consolation to his family at this time of loss,” Stadthagen said. “All who knew Rep. Sanderford understand that he wrought the most out of his 90 years, and his was a life well-lived.”
