The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating a quadruple fatal crash in Pike County.
The single-vehicle crash occurred just before midnight Friday on Pike County 6628, approximately nine miles east of Banks. ALEA said the driver of the vehicle was attempting to elude a state trooper at the time of the crash.
The 2022 Hyundai Elantra left the roadway and struck a tree. Three people were ejected from the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Tykevious D. Russaw, of Eufaula, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. Two other passengers, Robert D. Hall, 27, of Clayton and a 17-year-old, were not wearing seatbelts and were also ejected.
Another passenger, Quamay R. Richardson, 24, of Clayton, was not ejected.
All four were pronounced dead on the scene.
