Bowl games involving teams from Alabama and Alabama-based games will begin on Dec. 16, with the final one scheduled for Dec. 31. UAB’s trip to the Bahamas to play Miami of Ohio in the Bahamas Bowl begins things on Dec. 16. Alabama closes the state’s postseason on Dec. 31 in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

In addition to Alabama and UAB, other teams from the state who qualified for a bowl game are Troy and South Alabama. Sun Belt Conference champion Troy will play Conference USA champion UTSA in the Cure Bowl in Orlando on Dec. 16. South Alabama will play Western Kentucky in the New Orleans Bowl on Dec. 21.

The Birmingham Bowl features East Carolina against Coastal Carolina on Dec. 27. Earlier that day, Georgia Southern plays Buffalo in the Camelia Bowl at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl. The Lending Tree Bowl, played at Hancock Whitney Stadium on Dec. 17, features Rice against Southern Miss.
