There will be so many local acts on the two stages of MOB Music Fest 2025 that chances are some of them will hit the big time. You can see them now free before they become famous. Bet they won’t be free for long.
The Fest runs Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 13 starting at 5 p.m.
The local stars of tomorrow will cover every music genre known to man. The live bands, solo acts, indie artists and locals DJs will cover: country, rock, gospel, soul, funk, jazz, blues, R&B, and hip-hop.
The entertainment will go on simultaneously on two downtown Mobile stages. Stage One is at Cathedral Square on Dauphin Street. Stage Two is at The Temple Downtown, 300 Conti Street. If you don’t like the music coming from the stage you are watching, just walk a block and check out the other stage.
The Eighth Annual Fest provides an opportunity for local musicians to display their wares on live stages – a platform for the musicians of tomorrow.
It is free. No ticket or armband is needed.
It's Mobile's version of the New Orleans Jazz Fest, but it showcases the locals.
This year’s MOB Fest has added a tribute band to Mobile’s own legend, Jimmy Buffett. The band “Shakers of Salt” is named for a famous line in Buffett’s biggest hit, Margaritaville – “searching for my lost shaker of salt.” They will recreate the music of Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers.
Thousands of attendees are expected to take advantage of the best free concert of the year.
In addition to the music on stage, there will be food trucks, a Kid Zone and a community spotlight.
More information and a complete lineup of performers are at mobmusicfest.com.
