The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating a deadly incident involving a pedestrian and a Freightliner tractor-trailer.
McKala S. Brasher, 29, of Anniston, was pronounced dead on the scene at 10 p.m. Wednesday. The incident occurred on U.S. 431, one mile south of Anniston.
ALEA said Brasher was in the roadway when she was struck by the truck.
A Madison man drove the 2023 Freightliner. Troopers responded and questioned the driver.
ALEA is not releasing any details. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is conducting the investigation.
