The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) arrested two men in connection with possible illegal gambling machines at a business.

HPD community relations officers launched an investigation after receiving information from Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip about the machines inside a business in the 10000 block of Memorial Parkway.

Officers collected evidence and obtained a search warrant for the business.

On Thursday, the machines were seized, and two people were taken into custody.

Jody Michael Spears, 65, and Clayton Thad Hanna, 62, are charged with promoting gambling.

Spears and Hanna are considered innocent until proven guilty.
