The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a man shot and killed by a security guard at Birmingham’s Greyhound bus station.

Angelo Herbert Hill, Jr., 46, of Valdosta, Ga., got into a physical altercation with the security guard Sunday evening, according to Birmingham Police.

Hill was transported to UAB Hospital, where he died.

Police questioned the security guard, who was on duty at the time of the shooting. Police did not say what prompted the altercation.

The security guard remained at the scene and was taken to the police headquarters for an interview. No charges have been announced.
