The multinational technology corporation, Google, is planning significant "infrastructure and community investments" across Alabama.
According to the company, state and local elected officials, as well as senior executives, will gather in Jackson County next monday for an announcement regarding what Google is calling new "investments" in Alabama.
Google currently operates a major $600 million data center in Bridgeport, located in Jackson County on more than 500 acres of land. The sprawling campus currently anchors the corporation's operations in the state.
In 2025, Google helped provide $2.6 billion of economic activity for Alabama businesses, nonprofits, publishers, creators and developers.
