For seven gospel groups, it is a performance before eastern Alabama gospel music lovers.

For the hosting Griffith family, it is a homecoming.

Eight gospel groups perform two shows, April 12 and 13, at B.B. Comer High School in Sylacauga. Shows are at 6 p.m. nightly.

Have you heard of the old-fashioned “all-day singing with dinner on the ground?”  Well, this isn’t that. This is an early evening singing in the high school auditorium. 801 Seminole Avenue, Sylacauga.

The featured group, The Griffith Family, is from Sylacauga. Family patriarch   Griffith is a graduate of B.B. Comer High School. Hence, “The Griffith Family Homecoming.”
