Alabama has become a national hub for the protection of gun owner rights.

A February 15 conference of gun owners, held for the last 10 years in Alabama, has expanded this year to include BamaCarry, Gun Owners of America, the National Association for Gun Rights, the Virginia Citizens Defense League, the Self Defense Fund and Project Appleseed. This is a veritable summit of leaders in protecting gun owners' rights.

The safest place you could be in Alabama on Saturday may well be in Prattville.

The 10th annual Freedom Conference on gun rights will be held this Saturday at the Doster Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year's conference title is "Defending Gun Rights in Alabama."

Details and tickets are here.

The principal sponsor is BamaCarry, Inc., “Alabama’s only No Compromise gun rights group.”

Speakers at the conference will be:

Tom Sandner with Appleseed Project,

Dudley Brown with the National Association for Gun Rights,

Childersburg citizen leader Gene Piatkowski with the Self Defense Fund,

State Auditor Andrew Sorrell with information on establishing a BamaCarry PAC,

Erich Pratt with the Gun Owners of America,

Representative Shane Stringer and

Phillip Van Cleave with the Virginia Citizens Defense League.

BamaCarry's mission is:

We believe in gun rights the way the founders of our Country and the original authors of our State Constitution intended. We believe they meant “shall not be infringed” and that every law-abiding citizen has the right to bear arms in defense of self and state, and our goal is to return to those principles.

Because of this, we actively worked toward the approval of Constitutional Carry in the State of Alabama, which went into effect in January of 2023.

BamaCarry.us is your best source of information relating to Alabama’s Gun Rights and Laws. We use this site to communicate issues, plan events, and teach other patriots about their rights as gun owners.

Additional information on the group and the conference can be found here.
