Hazel’s Nook breakfast and lunch restaurant in Gulf Shores announced it is closing after 67 years.
The restaurant, a mom-and-pop destination in Gulf Shores, opened in 1957.
“Hazel’s has been a Gulf Shores landmark where guests could share stories, enjoy a great meal, and make memories since 1957,” a Facebook post stated. “We are grateful for our loyal customers, employees and community members who have contributed to the fabric of our family restaurant over the years.
Hazel’s Nook will close for good on July 15.
The classic-style restaurant has been a favorite among locals and visitors. With its retro feel and checkered tablecloths, patrons say they are taken back to a simpler time as soon as they walk through the doors.
“Thank you for 67 great years!” the post continued. “We look forward to seeing everyone around town.”
