A video posted to X by LibsofTiktok on Friday shows a student being violently assaulted in a Theodore High School bathroom.
The video shows that the victim, who did not fight back, was surrounded by four students. He was knocked to the ground and repeatedly punched, while two students stood watch and blocked the entrance of the restroom, and another student videoed the assault, encouraging the attack. At one point, the student is heard screaming, "Help me!"

Source tells me that this is just ONE out of the FIVE fights that occurred at the school the same day, and that the school is plagued with similar attacks. This student allegedly suffered broken teeth and bruises on his face," the post says.
Johnny Hatcher, Mobile school board commissioner and a graduate of Theodore High School, told 1819 News that he has seen the video and spoken with the school's principal.
Hatcher said that there were eight reported incidents this week. It is unclear how many were attacks like the one caught on video or fights.
"I was utterly disgusted. And I think the child who actually took the video and encouraged it is as bad or worse than the perpetrators in the video," Hatcher said.
He said that the students are facing disciplinary action and have "been put up for expulsion."
He said that law enforcement was called to the school, and the victim received medical care.
"There's no child that deserves to be beat like that."
Moving forward, Hatcher said he's going to propose increased resources for the school, including cameras in classrooms, lunchrooms, and public areas, to allow school staff to be physically present in bathrooms and problem areas.
"It's not going to be tolerated, and these children will face a hefty penalty," Hatcher explained.
