Governor Kay Ivey took to social media to offer prayers and encouragement to a Ralph teen fighting for his life in California.

Will Roberts has been in California receiving the DeltaRex-G treatment for a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Roberts was sent out of state for treatment after he called on the Trump administration to help him and others battling osteosarcoma.

Ivey said she has been praying for Roberts.

“Young Will Roberts has inspired our entire state with his courage,” Ivey posted. “Keep fighting, Will. I am praying for you, your family and your medical team, and I know Alabamians everywhere are lifting you up in prayer.

Roberts is currently undergoing procedures to remove fluid from his lungs and abdomen. His mother, Brittney Battles Roberts, frequently updates followers on his condition.
