A homeless man in Mobile is facing charges after police say he attacked two Mobile Infirmary workers.

According to Fox 10, 36-year-old Charles Duke was trying to leave the hospital when he was stopped by staff. He then reportedly threw an "unknown object" at the employees, hitting one, and spit on them.

Mobile Police Department was called around midnight on Tuesday for the alleged assault, and Duke was arrested on Thursday.

Duke has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault and three counts of felony assault with bodily fluids.

Fox 10 reports that the man spent most of 2024 in Metro Jail for resisting arrest and had recently been released.
