Baldwin County residents were soaked overnight after floods caused damage to several parts of the county.
In both Daphne and Spanish Fort, fire crews evacuated people from their homes. Kayaks were being used to get to neighbors.
“We have massive flooding all around the city and therefore we don’t know the integrity of the roads,” Spanish Fort Mike McMillan said Sunday night as surprise floods impacted the area.
Officials are still asking people to avoid flooded areas.
Meteorologists were expecting up to three inches of rain in some parts of the state, but it appears Spanish Fort may have received around 14 inches of rain in a short period of time.
