A large law enforcement presence was reported Friday at the scene of a deadly officer-involved shooting near the intersection of Green Springs Highway and Valley Avenue.
WBRC reported no officers were hurt, but a suspect was dead.
The incident occurred less than three months after Jabari Peoples, 18, was shot and killed by a Homewood police officer on June 23. The shooting of Peoples sparked protests demanding the release of the police video.
The officer involved was cleared of criminal charges after the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency concluded an investigation.
The identity of the suspect in Friday's shooting has not been released.
