Following the latest mass shooting committed by a "transgender" individual, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) issued a blunt assessment regarding the growing trend of violence.

According to the lawmaker, society is doing "ZERO favors" for those claiming to be transgender by indulging their "delusions."

"We are doing so-called 'transgender' people ZERO favors by pretending to go along with their delusions about their gender or 'pronouns,'” wrote Tuberville on his gubernatorial campaign account. "It is not loving or kind to tolerate this behavior from people who are clearly struggling. The LOVING thing to do would be to encourage these people to get the help they need."

He added, "I hope it doesn’t take another mass shooting for people to wake up."

The fatal shooting Tuberville referenced occurred last week at a hockey game in Pawtucket, R.I., when a man who identified as transgender shot and killed his ex-wife and adult son. The shooting also wounded the ex-wife's parents and a family friend.
