The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office announced a person found dead on the side of Interstate 20 in June was a missing person out of Austin, Texas.
The remains of Peter Alexander Robinson were discovered on June 22. However, it is believed the body had been there for over two years.
Investigators found the vehicle Robinson was driving had been towed from the same area on Jan. 12, 2023. Detectives believe he experienced a mental health crisis at the time. The sheriff said the department’s thoughts and prayers are with the family.
"We want to take this moment to remind everyone that mental health struggles are real and can affect anyone," said Sheriff Jon Daniel. "If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. Help is available."
