At least 10 people were arrested early Monday morning in a multi-agency immigration operation in south Baldwin County.
The Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Drug Enforcement Agency, Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Enforcement Removal Operations, United States Marshal Services and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office worked together in the operation to take down suspected illegal immigrants.
Many of the arrests were made along County Road 12, near Alabama Highway 59, in the Foley area. Officials stated that some of the arrests were made during traffic stops targeting specific individuals.
The operation lasted approximately two hours.
Border Patrol has responded to the area in the past after receiving information of possible illegal activity.
Charges of those arrested have not been released.
