U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) has some harsh words for protesters criticizing his support of the Trump administration, saying his record and the booming success of his district speaks for itself.

On Friday’s episode of WVNN’s “The Dale Jackson Show,” Strong again addressed the manufactured controversy over him and other Republicans skipping out on Democrat town halls organized by far-left, Soros-backed organizations like Indivisible.

These groups claiming to be Strong's constituents have planned “empty” town halls in Huntsville, Athens and other parts of north Alabama, demanding he show up and defend his actions supporting the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which the majority of voters in his district tacitly support.

“I'm not going to change how I've done business,” he said. “The three-quarters of a million people in North Alabama, fifth congressional district — I placed my name on the ballot and they overwhelmingly said that they chose me to represent them in the fifth district. It wasn't any of these media outlets. And I'll promise you this right here. I'm not going to bow down to George Soros and his bunch of funded agitators.”

Jackson mentioned a recent AL(dot)com article accusing Strong of holding a “fake” town hall amid local DOGE protests. The piece's primary source was an anonymous Reddit user.

“You look at it, we've created more than 30 mobile office hours in some of our smallest communities in the fifth district,” Strong continued. “I think the people appreciate how we've handled that. You think about it, over 1,500 meetings throughout the district and with people of this district. We're fighting for the jobs at Marshall. We're fighting for DOD. We're fighting for ATF, FBI. We're working with Science, Space and Technology Chairman, Mr. Babin out of Texas, to be sure he knows our capabilities. And then you go and look, as a sophomore, I am on Appropriations and I'm the Vice Chair of CJS, which is Commerce, Justice and Science. That right there is what funds Marshall Space Flight Center. And people can take it to the bank. I'm going to be fighting with everything in me. And again, if we find waste that is out there, I want to know about it.”

Strong compared his record to that of the Democrats who ran the state before Republicans won back control of the legislature in 2010.

“Think about this, the Democrats ran this state for over a hundred years. And you look at what they did to Alabama,” he said. “… They lost every major office in the state of Alabama. And then you think about it, Dale, I'm the first chairman, Republican to ever serve on the Madison County Commission. And look what we did. We created thousands of jobs. We paid off, paid down the debt. We went in here, reduced the size of government, reduced it by 16.2%. This is what people asked elected officials to do. And now it's the same thing that's going on at the federal level.

“But I promise you right now, if they think that I'm going to bow down to the Soros group, it's not going to happen. This job isn't for the weak in the stomach. I promise you, you've got to have a backbone. And we are full steam ahead. I think America is going in the right direction. And we've got wind in our sail.”

Strong said he was a proud Trump supporter and would continue to work with him to “save” the country.

“$38 trillion debt is unsustainable. And those 15 million illegal aliens that came across that border during the Biden administration are dealing misery on this country. And we're going to do something about it.”
