An inmate was found dead Monday night after walking off of a job site in Morgan County. Police say the preliminary investigation indicates the cause of death was suicide.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), 42-year-old Darrell Bruce Reeves walked off the job site on Friday. He was last seen near Jack McCaig Park.
Police found Reeves’ body along the train tracks in Falkville after receiving a report from a CSX operator.
According to reports, Reeves was in jail on a probation revocation warrant for drug charges.
Though they suspect Reeves’ death to be a suicide, police said this is an ongoing death investigation.
