The national Democratic Party and its spokesmen support the rioting, violence, property damage, arson, assault of law enforcement, and other anarchy now being done on the streets of Los Angeles.
One of their own, U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), posted an explanation of why that support by his party is wrong and “loses the moral high ground.” Fetterman was able to explain the wrongness of the Democrat position in just three sentences – and in a way that most folks can understand.
On Monday, Fetterman posted on X.com, formerly known as Twitter:
I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that.
This is anarchy and true chaos.
My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement.
When Alabama’s junior U.S. Senator Katie Britt saw Fetterman’s post, she re-tweeted it with her own short comment:
“Well said.”
Britt, in her short time in the Senate, has reached out and become a friend to Fetterman. On several occasions, and this is one, she has influenced Fetterman toward common sense and away from the straight Democrat party line — the dangerous anti-American party line.
There will come a vote that will be so close that Fetterman’s vote is needed to pass a constitutional, commonsense, pro-American bill. Sen. Britt will talk to him. Watch for this. It’s coming.
Keep on talking to him, Senator Britt. It’s working — a little.
