Jimmy Buffett has left this Earth, but his music has not. His music, look and feel are coming to Andalusia on August 2.

A highly-rated Buffett tribute band, Ula, will channel Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band.

The official description of the performance reads as follows:

Members of Ula, meaning Warriors of the Sea, got together with one thing in mind, to play music that is fun and makes you want to party. What better way than to play the music of the party man himself- Jimmy Buffett? Get out your craziest, most colorful Hawaiian shirt, put on your flip flops, a Lei around your neck, Parrothead hat and enjoy the beat.

You must understand, there is a little bit of Parrothead in every one of us!
Party down the way the Islanders do because Ula plays Buffett tunes that make you feel good and takes you away on an entertaining, tropical, musical vacation. Embark on your next island trip of memories swaying with that special someone to the songs that made Jimmy Buffet such a phenomenon.

Ula brings the Parrothead Beach scene to you all season long!

HITS INCLUDE - MARGARITAVILLE, A PIRATE TURNS 40, CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE, COME MONDAY. WHY DON’T WE GET DRUNK, AND MANY MORE!

The performance is at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, at the Kiwanis Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. The concert runs to 9 p.m.

Here's a fun exercise for fans of Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band. Looking at the photo of tribute band ULA at the top of this article, which entertainer looks a bit like Buffett? Which one looks like keyboard man Mike Utley. Which one looks like harmonica player extraordinaire Fingers Taylor? Which one looks like Will Kimbrough? Nobody looks like Mac McAnally. Nobody except Mac.

Jim 'Zig' Zeigler's beat is the colorful and positive about Alabama -- her people, places, events, groups and prominent deaths. He is a former Alabama Public Service Commissioner and State Auditor. You can reach him for comments at [email protected].
