Ross Taylor & Associates, a new full-service governmental and public affairs firm, officially launched on Monday, bringing together two of Alabama’s most seasoned and respected political strategists: John Ross and Charlie Taylor.
Headquartered in Alabama with offices in Montgomery, Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, Ross Taylor & Associates (RTA) offers a broad array of services, including executive and legislative branch lobbying, federal government affairs, public affairs, business development strategy and strategic advisory services.
RTA will launch with blue-chip entities headlining its client roster, underscoring the firm’s immediate relevance and credibility at the highest levels of Alabama’s public and private sectors.
John Ross, founding partner of RTA, brings over two decades of experience in governmental affairs, public policy, and strategic consulting. In addition to his work representing clients at the State Capitol, Ross has played pivotal roles in Alabama politics.
As executive director of the Alabama Republican Party, he led the historic 2010 campaign cycle that shifted control of the state legislature for the first time in 136 years. His résumé includes work on successful gubernatorial, senatorial, congressional, and state legislative campaigns as well as time as a staffer for U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville).
Joining him as a founding partner is Charlie Taylor, who most recently served as vice chancellor for external affairs for the University of Alabama System. Taylor is a well-known figure in Alabama political circles, having managed lobbying efforts resulting in billions of dollars of state and federal funding for capital projects and operational needs in education and healthcare.
“Ross Taylor & Associates is built on the belief that trusted relationships, honest counsel, and proven experience deliver real results,” Ross said. “We’re excited to help our clients achieve their public affairs goals while contributing to the long-term success of our state.”
