Nick Saban may be retired, but Alabama football still remains in the spotlight as FOX Nation, a streaming service run by FOX News, is releasing a docuseries of the 2024 football season.
On Thursday, FOX News released a statement announcing the new docuseries titled “The Tides That Bind: Inside Alabama Football.”
FOX News announced, “The series will spotlight the accounts of the players, coaches, and staff of the Alabama Crimson Tide for their first season following the retirement of legendary coach Nick Saban with unrestricted access to the most storied team in the history of college football for the first time ever.”
The six-episode docuseries will premiere on February 19, with a new episode released each week. It will prominently feature Malachi Moore, Jalen Milroe, Ryan Williams and head coach Kalen DeBoer.
“We are thrilled to bring our viewers this intimate behind-the-scenes look at the historic Roll Tide football team as they navigate the trials and tribulations of a year in transition,” Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson said in the release.
Dabbling in the sports world is an intriguing decision for FOX Nation, whose programming mainly caters to Fox News viewers and focuses on right-wing politics and faith-based content. The Tides That Bind appears to explore similar themes, with its first episode, “Faith,” highlighting “the unifying force that connects fans and players in their shared pursuit of the Crimson Tide football team's goals.”
