Katherine Robertson has picked up an endorsement from the Club for Growth, the nationwide conservative advocacy group, less than a week before the Republican primary.
Robertson, the chief counsel for the current Attorney General Steve Marshall, faces former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell and Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey for the Republican nomination in the May 19 primary.
Club for Growth PAC announced on Thursday that it was throwing its hat in the ring with Robertson in the packed field. Club For Growth PAC is affiliated with Club for Growth Action, which is the Super PAC of Club for Growth, a national free-enterprise advocacy group.
"Katherine Robertson is a conservative champion committed to protecting the rule of law in Alabama," said Club for Growth PAC president David McIntosh. "As Chief Counsel, Robertson beat back Biden's regulatory overreach, protected free speech, and supported school freedom. Club for Growth PAC is proud to endorse Robertson in the race. Alabama needs a fighter for Attorney General."
Robertson accepted the endorsement, stating she was "proud to have Club on the team."
