In the first days of the new year, Gov. Kay Ivey received a massive wave of social media adoration within the span of a few hours from multiple agencies in the state, praising her administration's work.

During the early Thursday morning hours, in what appears to be a coordinated effort, several state agencies, ranging from tourism to education, all took to X to applaud Ivey for her work in boosting the various institutions.

It's unclear what caused the massive influx of love from the agencies, all retweeted by the governor. However, with the 2025 legislative session a mere month away, it could be construed as an effort to seek a larger slice of the state's funding pie.

Surprisingly, the Alabama Department of Veteran's Affairs (ADVA) was the first agency to commend Ivey. Ivey recently had a very public feud with ADVA after utilizing her executive powers to fire then-commissioner Kent Davis after the State Board of Veterans Affairs rejected her request to fire him.

In its tweet, ADVA said its partnership with Ivey was "making Alabama the most veteran-friendly state in the nation!"

The other tweets poured in throughout the morning, with more adoration coming from the Alabama Tourism Department, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Alabama Department of Commerce, the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education and the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
