A person was killed and another airlifted for treatment after a nighttime boating collision on Lake Wedowee on Thursday. Two others involved were not injured.
The Clay County News reported the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m., possibly near Flat Rock.
"Personnel on the scene wished to express their appreciation to the individual at the 48 boat ramp who transported medical and law enforcement in his personal boat and also transported one patient back to await ambulance," The Clay County News reported.
