Number 23 Alabama baseball closed out their last home non-conference of the season with a 14-5 win over Samford.

With the win, Alabama improved its record to 26-15 on the season while sweeping the season series with Samford.

The Bulldogs jumped on the Crimson Tide early with a four-run second inning. Alabama responded quickly with 11 runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Crimson Tide’s big third inning was led by a trio of two-run home runs from Justin Lebron, TJ McCants, and Evan Sleight.

Samford got one run back in the fifth inning, but the Crimson Tide added three more runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. The teams failed to score in the remaining four innings, giving Alabama the 14-5 victory.

Lebron led the Alabama offense with a 3-for-5 night, driving in four runs with a single, double, and a home run.

Kade Snell started on the mound for Alabama and was forced to make an early exit after giving up four runs in just two innings of work. Austin Morris came in relief of Snell and recorded the win, pitching three innings and allowing just one run. Zane Probst, Aidan Moza, and Braylon Myers combined to shut out the Bulldogs in the final four innings to secure the Alabama victory.
