1819 News' Apryl Marie Fogel recently joined Talk 99.5 FM's Leland Whaley on his highly rated show, "Leland Live," to discuss the ongoing 1819 News investigative series on the woke creep at Samford University.
The interview was just hours after the latest piece in the series, reporting on Samford University president Beck Taylor's email asking university trustees to "broker an end" to the reporting while mischaracterizing the facts of previous stories.
In the segment, Whaley pointed out that, "If you're doing good journalism, the thing is, in my experience, if you're not stepping on toes and getting people complaining about your reporting, you're not really reporting, you're not unveiling anything."
Fogel outlined some of her investigation's findings, including the fact that in recent years, "the university went all in with multiple diversity action plans," pointing out that when she asked Samford about them, the school deleted them from their website without comment.
She explained, "None of this, from what's being taught at the university, to professors themselves and the university's response, is what one would imagine from a Christian school."
