Madison County School System officials announced a salary increase for all of its employees on Friday.

The Madison County Board of Education approved the $1,000 employee salary increase on May 15.

According to a press release from the Madison County Board of Education, the raise will cost the district $2.5 million annually.

Board vice president and District 4 member Heath Jones said in a statement, “Investing in our employees is investing in our future.” 

“This salary increase not only acknowledges the hard work and commitment of our staff but also reinforces our mission to attract and retain the best talent for our students. We are committed to ensuring that our educators and staff feel valued and appreciated,” Jones said.
