A Major League Fishing (MLF) angler was among several involved in a crash early Wednesday on Lewis Smith Lake.
First responders were on the scene. At least one person was killed. That person has not been identified.
“MLF is working closely with law enforcement and emergency officials,” the MFL said in a statement.
The MLF boater was identified as Flint Davis, of Leesburg, Ga. His condition is unknown.
It is unclear if any other MLF tournament vessels were involved.
“Out of respect for those involved, and to ensure the accuracy of all information, no further details will be released at this time,” the MLF said.
The MLF confirmed the boater was a competitor in the Tackle Warehouse Invitational. Wednesday was day two of the tournament.
