Federal court documents reveal more information surrounding a deadly mass shooting that happened at Tuskegee University.

Shots were fired from a vehicle into a crowd early Sunday, November 10, killing one and injuring 16.

Jaquez Myrick, 25, of Montgomery, was arrested on the night of the shooting. Police said he had a Glock pistol with a conversion device. He was charged with federal possession of a machine gun.

Jeremiah Williams, 20, is also charged with possession of a machine gun in an unrelated incident. However, court documents state Williams was driving through the crowd when gunfire was seen coming from the car on November 10. Further, he posted videos of himself driving a white Dodge Charger at Tuskegee around the time of the shooting.

“Thank god we was okay,” he captioned the video.

Williams denies firing shots on the night of the shooting and told prosecutors he is not sure if the gunfire came from one of his passengers because he was focusing on driving.

No one is charged directly for the shooting of 18-year-old La’Tavion Johnson and the injured victims.

Tuskegee University has taken extra safety precautions and replaced security officers on campus.
