The Calera Police Department arrested a man for the shooting death of a woman on Thursday night.

Jennifer Talley, 23, was killed at a residence on The Heights Drive in North Calera.

Noah Hendricks was quickly identified as a suspect and taken into custody. Hendricks is charged with murder.

"This incident involved a domestic relationship, which is the case in the vast majority of violent Crimes we see. Please remember that we in Calera have a Victim Services Coordinator who is available to help victims of domestic abuse find resources and get help,” said police chief David Hyche. “If you are living with domestic violence and need help please call us at 205-668-3505."

Hyche thanked the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, the Chilton County Sheriff's Office, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, the Clanton Police Department and the Pelham Police Department for their assistance.

Hendricks is being held in the Shelby County Jail and is considered innocent until proven guilty.
