The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating a water tubing incident that occurred on Lake Martin in Tallapoosa County.
A man was injured at approximately 4:45 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a pontoon propeller. Stewart D. Holmes, 25, of North Carolina, was being pulled behind the boat on the water tube before falling off and being struck by the propeller.
ALEA said the incident occurred in the area of Big Kowaliga Creek.
Holmes was recovered from the water and was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment.
