The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of an industrial worker killed in Trussville on Wednesday morning.

Edgar Earl Davis IV, 29, of Odenville, was an employee of a precast concrete manufacturer. Coroner Bill Yates said Davis sustained blunt force injuries during an industrial incident.

The death occurred in the 7500 block of Commerce Circle.

The Trussville Tribune reported Davis was repairing an issue with a cement mixer and was inside the machine when it unexpectedly started working again.

The death is under investigation by the Trussville Police Department.
