The Mobile Police Department is investigating a stabbing that claimed the life of a 46-year-old man.
The stabbing occurred Sunday afternoon in the 7500 block of Pascagoula Road. When officers arrived, they discovered Terrance Sims suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he died a short time later.
Detectives identified the suspect as 45-year-old Nicholas White. White was booked into the Metro Jail. He is charged with murder and second-degree possession of marijuana.
The motive behind the stabbing has not been revealed.
White is considered innocent until proven guilty.
