Friday on Huntsville radio WVNN's "The Dale Jackson Show," Attorney General Steve Marshall, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, argued in favor of some U.S. involvement in the Israeli effort to end Iran's nuclear ambitions.
Marshall told host Dale Jackson the United States should ask but stop short of regime change.
"[H]ere's the question of the day: Should the United States get involved with Iran and Israel? And what does that involvement look like, if the answer is yes?"
"Yeah, the answer is yes, but not regime change," Marshall replied, "Look, we've been strongly supportive of the nation of Israel and their ability to defend themselves, and Iran is not a friend of the United States. And to the extent our troops and our assets are in danger, we have the responsibility to be able to act. If President Trump deems the intelligence such that Iran has a nuclear bomb and capability ready, then we need to be able to respond.
"So drop the bombs and get the hell out — I mean, that's basically what we're looking at?" Jackson asked.
"In Dale Jackson, language, absolutely."
