Multiple agencies are searching for a person of interest in a death investigation in east Alabama.
The search operation is focused on the north end of Randolph County and the south end of Cleburne County.
Danny Lee Cater has been on the run since Tuesday after a male victim was found dead in the Cool Springs area.
The search began around County Road 10 but has expanded to include County Roads 47, 25 and 10. Residents are warned to remain alert and to secure their homes, vehicles, sheds and outbuildings.
Cater is considered to be a dangerous suspect. He was last seen wearing tiger-striped camouflage and a dark shirt. He has been spotted between Green’s Chapel and Micaville/Redlands.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is assisting the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office, along with other local agencies.
Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 and not approach Cater.
