Michael White has researched and broadcast the weather to the people of the Alabama Gulf Coast for 15 years.
He's experienced hurricanes, floods, heat waves, droughts, tornadoes, ice storms, and nearly every other weather variable.
However, as of Monday, White announced he is no longer affiliated with Fox10, the Mobile news-heavy station.
As of today I’m no longer affiliated with FOX10. They’ve decided to go in a different direction, and I wish them all the best. I was blindsided by this decision and I don’t want to leave the Gulf Coast. I’m in search of a job in Meteorology or Public Relations. I hold 2 degrees. One in communications and another in atmospheric science. Please message me with any job opportunities that can benefit you or your company. I also will be offering meteorology consulting services to anyone or any business that needs it. Thank you. And for those of you that watched me for 15 years, a VERY special thank you.
White earned a degree in Communications at the University of Alabama. He is a graduate of Mississippi State in Broadcast Weather and Climatology.
White's first broadcast job was as a radio DJ as a teenager.
His first TV job was doing weather for WVUA-TV, the University of Alabama's in-house station.
From 2007 to 2009, he was the weatherman at WRDW-TV in Augusta.
In 2009, he moved to Mobile and went to work for Fox10. He now lives in Mobile.
White was the morning news weather personality on Fox10 with co-anchors Eric Reynolds and Sara Wall.
He actively disseminates weather information in real-time on social media. He has 22,989 followers on Facebook and an unknown number on other social media. He has also given weather programs to students and other groups.
A popular Michael White feature was his "Dog Walking Forecast."
"Since I've been here, we've seen tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, snow, an ice storm, and yes even bright and sunny picture perfect days too." - Michael White
