A Michigan high school is asking for prayers after one of its football players was shot and injured while in Birmingham for a training camp.
Hudsonville High School shared that Ethan Carter was shot several times in his body, head, neck, hand, arm and chest. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains in the trauma unit.
His mother said Carter is expected to be OK, and he hopes to return to playing football.
According to multiple reports, the shooting was unrelated to the football training camp. Police said Carter met up with someone he found on social media to purchase an item. The person shot and robbed him.
No arrests have been announced.
