Albertville native Miguel Corona recently launched his campaign for Albertville City Council, Place 5.

"Albertville isn't just my hometown, it's the heart of my story," he said in a Facebook announcement. "It's where I was raised, where I graduated high school, and where I've built a life with the people I love most."

Albertville has been growing rapidly over the last half decade, and Corona said he sees even bigger things in the city's future.

"As the son of immigrants who came here chasing the American Dream, I've seen firsthand how community, opportunity, and hard work can transform a family's future," he said. "That's why I'm running to help ensure those same values continue to shape the future of Albertville."

Corona said he cares "deeply" about supporting local business owners, recruiting good-paying industrial jobs, adapting to the city's growth, keeping neighborhoods safe and welcoming, supporting local schools, teachers and students, and ensuring every voice in the community is heard.

"I may not be a politician, but I am your neighbor. I'm committed to showing up, listening, and working hard for the community we all love," he said. "Let's build a future we can all be proud of together."

Corona works as an insurance agent with Allstate, serving Albertville and the Marshall County area. He's a graduate of Albertville High School, where he met his wife, Katie, who is a school speech therapist. They have two children, Taylor and Liam.

"As we head toward Election Day, I'm asking for your support, and your prayers," Corona said. "I'd be truly honored to earn your vote on August 26th. Now let's get out and make a difference for Albertville!"
